Creating the ideal home office

Whether they’ve always worked from home or that suddenly, we have been in that situation, or simply want a place to keep order in all these papers and bills that accumulate in the kitchen, a home office is a place increasingly important due to our current lifestyle. The lucky ones already have a room used as study, others make do with the guest room. But another possibility is to create a space in a closet or replaced by a modern barn home office.

For Jane Hughes who has worked from home for eight years, the most important thing is to put the office where we are comfortable, with a good atmosphere, a comfortable seat, etc.. But always in the style of the person. It is also important to keep your workspace clean and tidy and ensure that you are in an area of the house away from all distractions. “I have found that work best when the office is on the back of the house, away from the distractions of the street, who always seems to be full of happy people for not working, especially on sunny days,” he adds.
For Nina Campbell, an interior designer, have a large storage space and be away from all distractions are critical to the success of a home office. “I need to have storage space (shelves and cabinets), together with a proper desk and a comfortable chair,” he says. It also recommends painting the room in soothing colors (neutral tones of cream and blue and green).
