These days when the white snow has covered our cities have had the opportunity to see a different landscape from the window of our house, a cold and wintry landscape and very nice.
But a landscape and by repetitive and late in the calendar has made us crave more, if possible, the spring season that is about to arrive.
At this point, and after a severe winter and want to open our windows to good weather and enjoy other colors and warm light. It is a time when the decor has a peak in the textile accessories.
The curtains, whose importance and its many aesthetic possibilities and clothing we’ve talked in the past, now become more important than ever. As the sun will get stronger, the need to ensure a little light, and not blinded in the interior of our house.
Curtains
The treatment we give to the windows will not only determine the luminosity and the overall appearance of a room. The curtains have several functions, provide privacy, contributing to the climate of a room, making it more warm or cool depending on the season, can promote or decrease the brightness, and of course have a very strong ornamental weight.
While the market offers a new number of bids without curtains, measures can facilitate them to resolve all aspects we mentioned, creating a custom design of our need. The choice of fabrics for curtains should be, given that role will exactly depending on the environment they are placed, the dimensions of that environment, the colors of the furniture and walls among other things.
As a curtain shortening
To cut a curtain will need these tools:
- scissors
- one meters
- pins
- wire
- needle or a sewing machine
1. Hang the curtain in the place where you would go located.
2. Take the necessary hem leaving a finger to the floor above the ground.
3. Remove the curtain and place it on a flat surface to measure the hem with the metro.
4. Measure along the curtain on several sites to make it straight and fasten with pins (if very large dobladilli cut with scissors before fastening with pins).
5. Sewing by hand or by machine (it’s best if hand sewing the hem is very large – see photo).
6. We recommend placing the curtain with the pins before cutting or sewing to see if it has taken proper measures.
